Olde Cypress is located in
Naples, Collier County, Florida. It sits approximately 1.3 miles east of
I-75 on the north side of Immokalee Road. The 500-acre DRI is the only
major property in the area that remains in a pristine natural state.
The main feature of the project is a 18-hole private championship golf
course, designed by the renowned P.B. Dye, to integrate a series of
challenging and picturesque holes with the original environment.
The 20,000+ square-foot clubhouse will feature Spanish Mediterranean
architecture, which also will be carried over to the adjacent entrance
gate for the residential community.
Modeled after The Club at The Strand, another current project, the
clubhouse will include a ground floor pro shop and men's and women's
locker rooms with luxury appointments. The second floor will contain a
comfortable grille room, spacious lounge, large ballroom, card rooms,
meeting rooms, a sales center and other hospitality features. All rooms
will be elegantly decorated and have accents and design elements that
are harmonious with the setting.
Other amenities in the club complex will include lighted tennis courts,
an exercise and fitness center, a swimming pool and family playground
areas.
A major attraction of the property is the environmental preservation
activities that will be applied, including set asides of 176 acres in
its pristine state. Further evidence of the developer's commitment to
natural preservation is its collaboration with Clyde Butcher. His
world-famous black-and-white images of Everglades scenes will be
featured at The Butcher Gallery at The Club at Olde Cypress on the
property and in the project's communication materials.
The right-of-way roads, golf course and open spaces cover 145 acres and
the club site covers six acres. The project comprises 133 acres of
residential development, 40 acres of lakes and 176 acres of preserves.
All residents of Olde Cypress will receive a full social membership to
The Club, with the option of upgrading to a full golf membership. A
limited number of golf memberships also will be available to
non-residents. Membership will be capped at 350 full golfing members.
The commercial area of 13 acres fronts Immokalee Road. It will be
suitable for such retail clients as a supermarket chain, bank, cleaners,
restaurant, and other services and small offices. The area is growing
rapidly and such services are under-represented in the immediate
vicinity.
Single-family homes will be built by select preferred builders.
