Naples began as a quaint, quiet fishing town. Many years later it has now become a safe haven for northerners seeking refuge from brutal winters. Though a good amount of its population is only visitors throughout the year, many of those visitors as well as locals find Naples to be a great fishing spot. Grab your pole and go down to Naples Pier, where each night you’ll be greeted by sunset gazers and dolphin.

Visit any one of Naples’ beautiful beaches and you’ll see why so many people call this place home. Naples prides itself on the consistent priority it puts on the preservation of nature both in and around the city. That’s why you’ll see a variety of wildlife including birds, dolphin, eagle, and more. It truly is God’s paradise.

For night life, be sure to visit any one of our exquisite restaurants along 5th avenue, where you’ll sample some of the most fabulous foods in the country.

Culture, Arts & Recreation

Naples is also known for its great shopping. Stroll down 5th Avenue and visit the many city blocks of art galleries and specialty stores. Naples has some of the most exquisite shops in Florida; from art galleries to antiques to jewelry stores, you’ll find everything unique in this upscale community.

From its beautiful golf courses, to the Har Tru tennis courts sprinkled within communities all around town, Naples can satisfy even the most discriminating sports enthusiast.

If you’d rather watch sports, catch a Florida Everglades hockey game at Germain Area, and cheer on your favorite college sport at Florida Gulf Coast University. There are pro-golf and tennis tournaments, a greyhound race track and even speedboat races on the Gulf of Mexico. Southwest Florida is also the spring training home to some of your favorite baseball teams, including a class A minor league team, Fort Myers Miracle.

For the culture enthusiast, book a venue at the Naples Philharmonic, visit any one of our museums, art galleries and art shows. You’ll find that Naples is full of culture and the arts- attracting fine artists and collectors from around the world.

Las Vegas, NV, Myrtle Beach, SC, and Naples, FL were named as three of the top-ten U.S. metro areas with the highest growth potential, according to a recent study issued by Demographics Daily, a publication of Bizjournals.com (formerly American City Business Journals).

Demographics Daily used latest data available from the U.S. Census Bureau and the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis to analyze future growth prospects for every metro area in the nation. Population growth, population density, per-capita income expansion, and small-business growth were all examined as party of the study.

For the Beach goer, Naples boasts some of the most beautiful coastline beaches and bays in the country. Known for their barely touched, pristine condition, Southwest Florida prides itself on its ability to maintain the beaches as close to their natural state as possible. You won’t find huge crowds or television crews on any of these beaches- just quiet, relaxation, perfect for getting away from the hassles of everyday life.

Naples beach stretches for 7 miles along the coast and marries the Gulf of Mexico to the Southwest Florida coastline. You don’t have to wear shoes on this beach- the sand is as fine as sugar and the water is most often calm and submlime. The Gulf of Mexico is much more tropical than most beaches so if you’re searching for a more caribbean feel to your Florida vacation, Naples Beach is the place for you.

Be sure to visit the world-famous Naples Pier, a 1000 foot pier that reaches well out into the water. Here you’ll meet the kindest fishermen and the friendliest Pelicans. Watch carefully and you’ll often see a school of dolphin, and stick around long enough and you’ll be sure to see one of Naples’ most beautiful sunsets.
